TechFlow News, February 19: According to Fortune, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced the acquisition of token management platform Magna to expand its product suite and support token issuers earlier in the token lifecycle. This marks Kraken’s sixth acquisition in the past year. Magna helps crypto startups track token ownership and distribution.
The acquisition comes as Kraken prepares for its IPO, aiming—like competitors such as Coinbase—to become a more comprehensive financial platform. Kraken Co-CEO Arjun Sethi stated that this move prioritizes market structure and the token lifecycle.
