TechFlow News, February 12: According to CoinDesk, OKX Ventures has made a strategic investment in STBL, a stablecoin and yield infrastructure provider. STBL simultaneously announced partnerships with alternative investment management firm Hamilton Lane and regulated digital securities issuance company Securitize.
The three parties will jointly develop a real-world asset (RWA)-backed stablecoin on OKX’s Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 blockchain, X Layer. The project will establish a feeder fund linked to Hamilton Lane’s Senior Credit Opportunities Fund (SCOPE), which will be issued and tokenized via Securitize.
STBL was co-founded by Reeve Collins, co-founder of Tether, and Avtar Sehra, a pioneer in tokenization. Sehra stated: “The real-world asset market is entering a new phase—tokenization must deliver tangible utility, not merely representational value.” Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize, added that this collaboration demonstrates how tokenization can deliver practical utility to assets by integrating regulated issuance with programmable settlement.
