Seedance 2.0 Officially Announces Suspension of Real-Person Content-Related Features
According to JIN10 Data, Seedance 2.0—an AI video-generation model developed by ByteDance—has drawn attention after tech blogger Tim reported that the model was extensively trained on videos from “Film Typhoon,” enabling it to autonomously generate videos featuring Tim’s voice—even without explicit prompting. In response, the official Seedance 2.0 team announced it would temporarily suspend support for using real-person footage as subject references. A reporter learned that an operations staff member posted in the JIMENG creator community: “During its closed beta, Seedance 2.0 has garnered far more attention than anticipated—thank you all for your usage feedback. To safeguard a healthy and sustainable creative environment, we are urgently optimizing the product based on user feedback. Currently, uploading real-person images or videos as subject references is temporarily unsupported.” The post added: “We fully recognize that the boundary of creativity lies in respect. After these adjustments, Seedance 2.0 will officially launch in a more refined form.” As of press time, ByteDance has not issued an official statement.
