TechFlow News, February 5: Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) publicly denied sending any private messages or legal threats to X user Jacob King regarding halting the spread of rumors about Binance’s alleged insolvency.
Earlier, Jacob King claimed on his account that CZ had unblocked him and sent a private message threatening to issue a cease-and-desist order due to his posts suggesting Binance might be insolvent. In his response, CZ explicitly labeled this claim as false, stating he “has never sent messages to anyone in this manner” and calling it “an obvious forgery or AI-generated misinformation.” CZ also said he would spend less time debunking such FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) and urged users to ignore such rumors.
