TechFlow News, February 3: According to France’s Le Monde newspaper, the Cybercrime Division of the Paris Prosecutor’s Office conducted a raid on X’s (formerly Twitter) French office on February 3. The prosecution has summoned platform owner Elon Musk and former CEO Linda Yaccarino to appear for a voluntary hearing on April 20, 2026.
The investigation stems from a January 2025 complaint alleging algorithmic changes and managerial interventions on the platform. Its scope has since expanded to include allegations that X’s AI tool Grok was used to generate non-consensual nude images—including suspected content involving minors—as well as the dissemination of statements denying crimes against humanity.
As of press time, X has not issued a response to these developments.
