TechFlow News: On February 3, according to China News Service, the “Annual Meeting of INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Experts Group” was held in Hong Kong for the first time. Over 120 participants attended, including law enforcement personnel from more than 30 countries and regions, industry professionals, and experts from international organizations. The meeting focused on “Combating the Industrialization of Cybercrime,” covering topics such as the cybercrime ecosystem and virtual asset tracing.
Mr. Raymond Siu, Commissioner of Police of the Hong Kong Police Force, stated that the Hong Kong Police Force has observed emerging trends in crimes involving virtual assets. Last year, it established a Virtual Asset Intelligence Task Force together with professionals from the Web3.0 industry, serving as a public-private collaboration platform to jointly address technological challenges. The police have also developed a virtual asset tracing system that visually presents the virtual asset investigation process, providing comprehensive support to investigators. Mr. Neal Jetton, INTERPOL’s Head of Cybercrime, expressed his expectation that the meeting will advance practical solutions and joint operations to effectively combat cybercrime.
