TechFlow News: On February 2, according to The Block, Ripple received a full Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), converting its provisional approval granted on January 14 into a formal license. This enables Ripple to expand its blockchain-based payment services across the entire European Union.
This license follows closely on the heels of Ripple’s recent receipt of an electronic money license and cryptoasset registration from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) last month, further strengthening the company’s regulatory standing in Europe. Ripple now holds over 75 regulatory licenses globally.
