TechFlow news: On January 29, according to The Block, the cryptocurrency political action committee Fairshake announced it has raised over $193 million in funding to prepare for the upcoming 2026 U.S. midterm elections. The organization has received strong backing from industry giants, including a $25 million donation from Coinbase in 2025, as well as recent $25 million and $24 million contributions from Ripple and Andreessen Horowitz, respectively.
Fairshake stated it will continue “opposing anti-crypto politicians and supporting pro-crypto leaders.” Last year, the organization played a pivotal role in the elections, jointly investing $40 million with the super PAC Defend American Jobs to support pro-crypto Republican candidate Bernie Moreno—who defeated Sherrod Brown, a Democratic senator and vocal critic of cryptocurrency.
