Regarding the revocation of Chen Zhi’s Cambodian citizenship, the Ministry clarified that the decision strictly adheres to statutory provisions—under Cambodian law, the government is authorized to revoke the citizenship of naturalized citizens found to have obtained it through forged documents or by providing false information during the application process. The statement emphasized that such actions reflect Cambodia’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international cooperation to uphold peace, stability, and socioeconomic development, as well as to effectively combat transnational criminal activities.
