TechFlow News, January 26: Da Hongfei, founder of the Neo blockchain, and co-founder Erik Zhang engaged in a public dispute on social media. Da accused Erik of distorting facts, stating that Erik’s demand—“every transaction and all expenditures require approval”—resembles the centralized governance model of the NF Treasury. Da proposed “limited cooperation,” pledging to release more transparent financial reports quarterly starting this year, and suggested a $1 million transaction to enhance NGD’s stakeholder alignment and provide operational funding.
Erik Zhang responded that the meeting was “neither surprising nor pleasant,” deemed the so-called “limited cooperation” devoid of substance, and put forward three minimum requirements.
