TechFlow reported on January 14, according to The Block, that Ethereum's staking amount has reached a record 36 million ETH, accounting for approximately 30% of the circulating supply, with a staked market value exceeding $118 billion.
Currently, the Ethereum network has around 900,000 active validators, with an additional 2.3 million ETH queued for staking, while the validator exit queue remains at historically low levels, indicating limited selling pressure from existing stakers.
Institutional participation has been the main driver behind the recent staking growth. BitMine Immersion, an Ethereum treasury company, holds 4.17 million ETH, representing 3.45% of the circulating supply, over 1.25 million of which have already been staked—nearly doubling compared to a week ago.
