TechFlow news — On January 14, according to Reuters, the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) said on Tuesday that nearly one-third of crypto firms operating in France without an EU license have yet to inform regulators whether they plan to apply for authorization or cease operations by July. Of approximately 90 unlicensed companies, about 30% have submitted applications, 40% have clearly stated they will not apply, and the remaining 30% have not provided any response. France's crypto regulatory transition period will end on June 30, and ESMA requires unauthorized firms to establish or implement an "orderly wind-down" plan before the deadline. Previously, firms such as Coinbase, Circle, and Revolut have already obtained MiCA licenses.
