TechFlow news — On January 13, according to Eleanor Terrett, Senator John Boozman, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, announced the postponement of the scheduled markup session for the crypto market structure bill from this Thursday to the end of January. Boozman stated that the committee needs more time to maintain bipartisan support.
The bill requires at least 60 votes (three-fifths majority in the Senate) to pass a full chamber vote. With Republicans currently holding only 53 seats in the Senate, the legislation must secure Democratic support or it will not be able to move forward.
