TechFlow news, January 09 — According to CME's "Fed Watch": After the release of non-farm payroll data, the probability of a 25-basis-point rate cut by the Federal Reserve in January dropped to 2.8% (from 11.6% prior to the announcement), while the probability of holding rates steady rose to 97.2% (up from 88.4%). The probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate cut by March stands at 32.3% (down from 35.8%), the chance of unchanged rates is 66.8% (up from 60.6%), and the probability of a cumulative 50-basis-point cut is 0.9% (down from 3.7%).
