TechFlow news, December 9 — According to Jinshi Data, market pricing indicates nearly a 90% probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday. However, analysts from BNY Mellon (BNY) said investors should pay attention to guidance arising from voting divisions. They noted: "There are still several points worth watching in this meeting, including how much support within the committee there is for the expected rate cut—will there be dissenting votes, as seen at the October FOMC meeting?" Additionally, the Fed will release new interest rate path projections (i.e., the dot plot) as part of its quarterly Summary of Economic Projections. Analysts added: "Finally, we are likely to hear the Fed announce its readiness to provide liquidity support to funding markets toward year-end and into 2026."
