TechFlow, December 9 — The Singapore Bullion Market Association's (SBMA) official journal, Crucible, published a research article by Matrixdock, Matrixport's RWA platform, focusing on best practices in transparency and reserve verification for physical gold tokenization. As an SBMA member institution, Matrixdock leverages the industry publication to share its expertise in tokenization technology and asset verification mechanisms, contributing to the modernization of the precious metals industry.
The article highlights that amid continuous central bank gold purchases and rising demand for gold asset verification, tokenization technology is transforming gold from an intermediary-reliant asset into one that can be verified on-chain. Taking XAUm, the gold token launched by Matrixdock, as an example, it achieves 1:1 traceable verification between underlying physical gold reserves and on-chain token supply through third-party physical gold audits combined with on-chain data disclosure.
As RWA moves into the large-scale implementation phase, platforms equipped with high-standard reserve disclosure and on-chain verification capabilities are becoming critical infrastructure for bridging real-world assets onto blockchain networks. Matrixdock's practices provide a reference model for advancing tokenization of precious metal assets within the industry.
