TechFlow news, December 5 — According to The Block, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network Base announced on Thursday the official launch of a cross-chain bridge connecting to Solana. This integration is powered by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
The integration will enable developers on Base to natively support Solana's SPL tokens in their applications, while also allowing users to transfer assets from Base to the Solana network. The Base team stated that this marks a significant step toward its vision of becoming the "center of the economy for everything," aiming to let users move assets across chains at "internet speed," regardless of which blockchain the assets reside on.
