Security expert Jameson Lopp reported that over 60 "wrench attacks" targeting cryptocurrency holders have occurred globally this year, averaging one per week. Criminals are shifting from cyberattacks to violent, in-person robberies, even leveraging blockchain analysis and AI technologies for precise tracking.
