TechFlow news, December 3: According to Decrypt, a man in Trinidad was robbed by two armed assailants at a Superpharm parking lot during a face-to-face cryptocurrency transaction, losing approximately $85,800 in cash and his mobile phone. Security expert Jameson Lopp reported that over 60 "wrench attacks" targeting cryptocurrency holders have occurred globally this year, averaging one per week. Criminals are shifting from cyberattacks to violent, in-person robberies, even leveraging blockchain analysis and AI technologies for precise tracking. Similar incidents have recently surged worldwide, including an $11 million crypto wallet robbery in San Francisco and a fatal attack in the UAE.
