Liu stated that The New York Times portrays innovation and wealth creation as "predatory" and "oppressive," whereas in reality, AI is a key driver of global capital markets and a strategic national priority. Her remarks support David Sacks' rebuttal to The New York Times' allegations of conflict of interest during his tenure as White House lead for AI and cryptocurrency. Several industry insiders have also questioned the credibility of The New York Times' reporting, calling it the "left-wing version of Page Six."
