TechFlow, on November 27, South Korea's digital asset exchange Upbit suffered a hacking incident today (November 27), with approximately 44.5 billion KRW worth of assets stolen, primarily involving digital assets on the Solana network. Upbit detected abnormal transactions at 4:41 AM and reported the incident to regulators. South Korean police and financial regulatory authorities have launched an on-site investigation into operator Dunamu Co., expected to continue until December 5. Upbit stated it will fully compensate customers' losses using company assets, ensuring zero loss for users.
Earlier, Upbit disclosed it had been attacked, with about 54 billion KRW worth of tokens transferred to unknown wallets.
