TechFlow news, November 22 — According to Decrypt, updated data from the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) shows that "Operation Destabilise," targeting Russian sanctions evasion, has led to 128 arrests and the seizure of over $32.6 million in cryptocurrency and cash.
The operation uncovered Russian-linked money laundering networks operating in at least 28 towns and cities across the UK. Suspects collected illicit cash from drugs, weapons sales, or human trafficking, converted it into cryptocurrency, and used the proceeds to fund organized crime or finance Russia's military equipment in Ukraine.
