TechFlow, Nov 20 — According to The Block, on Wednesday BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm, filed an application in Delaware to register the name iShares Staked Ethereum ETF, signaling its preparation to launch a new Ethereum staking fund product. The registration was submitted by Daniel Schweiger, a managing director at BlackRock, who also filed for the company’s first iShares Ethereum fund at the end of 2023.
Name registration in Delaware is typically the first public indication of a new ETF product development. Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said that BlackRock’s formal filing for the new iShares ETH staking fund will be “coming soon.”
