TechFlow news, November 14 — According to Christine D. Kim's disclosure, Ethereum developers discussed the implementation plan for the Fork Choice Include List (FOCIL) at the 169th All Core Developers Consensus meeting. Some developers are now more optimistic about making a credible commitment to the proposal during the Heka upgrade rather than including it in the Glamsterdam upgrade.
During the meeting, client teams expressed differing views on including FOCIL in Glamsterdam. The Lighthouse and Lodestar teams supported inclusion, the Grandine team opposed it, and the Prysm team remained neutral. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Lodestar developer Matthew Keil backed the approach of making credible commitments for future forks.
In addition, the Fusaka upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Ethereum mainnet on December 3. Developers also discussed interoperability testing for embedded proposer-builder separation (ePBS), which is expected to be ready within a month.
