TechFlow news, November 14 — According to an official announcement, Drop, a liquid staking protocol in the Cosmos ecosystem, announced it will orderly cease operations. The protocol was launched in 2024.
Drop stated that, given the current ecosystem development direction and broader market conditions, the protocol has been unable to identify a sustainable growth path. As a result, the issuance of the DROP token will not proceed, and all related airdrops under the Droplets program will be canceled. Drop is exploring the possibility of distributing protocol revenues to participants of the Droplets program as a way to return value to contributors.
Regarding asset management, dTIA and deINIT will begin gradual sunsetting, though withdrawal functionality will remain open; dATOM and dNTRN will continue to be supported, and Drop is currently discussing with potential partners the possibility of maintaining operations for these two assets.
