TechFlow, Nov. 6 — According to Jinshi Data, Simon Ballard and Almaha Alnuaimi of First Abu Dhabi Bank stated that the U.S. government shutdown and disruptions in official economic data releases have made the outlook more complex and uncertain, potentially leading the Federal Reserve to pause rate cuts next month. The two analysts noted that the uncertainty caused by the government shutdown could strengthen the Fed's rationale for "hitting pause" in December—even if Governor Michelle Bowman strongly dissents. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell also hinted last week, after a 25-basis-point rate cut, that a December rate cut is "not on a preset course."
