TechFlow news, November 3 — According to Jinshi Data, Microsoft (MSFT.O) has signed a roughly $9.7 billion agreement with Australian crypto mining firm IREN to procure AI cloud computing power, making Microsoft the Australian company's largest customer. As stated in IREN's Monday announcement, this five-year deal grants Microsoft access to Nvidia GB300 architecture accelerator systems in Texas for AI workloads, and includes a 20% upfront payment. IREN also announced it has agreed to purchase $5.8 billion worth of essential GPUs and related equipment from Dell (DELL.N). IREN CEO Daniel Roberts said via email that once fully implemented, the agreement is expected to generate approximately $1.94 billion in annualized revenue, utilizing only about 10% of IREN's total computing capacity, leaving room for the infrastructure provider to sign additional contracts.
