TechFlow news, October 31 — According to Ming Pao, Singapore-based smart TV operating system manufacturer Whale TV has opened a research and development office in Hong Kong, focusing on the development of cloud computing and Web3 technologies.
It is reported that Whale TV's Hong Kong team will work on advanced technology projects, including decentralized identity authentication, to enhance user privacy and engagement. The company is considering expanding its Hong Kong team by adding professionals in product development, marketing, and sales, in addition to R&D personnel.
Founded in 2011, Whale TV has partnered with over 400 TV brands and serves more than 44 million monthly active users globally. The company's Executive Chairman, Dr. William Koo, stated that it will leverage Hong Kong as an international hub to actively explore business opportunities in Asia and the Middle East.
