TechFlow news, October 26: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin warned on the X platform that a key feature of blockchains is that even under a 51% attack, invalid blocks cannot be made valid. This means that even if 51% of validators collude (or suffer from software bugs), they still cannot steal user assets. However, if trust is placed in the validator set to perform other tasks beyond what the blockchain can control, then 51% of validators could collude and provide incorrect answers, leaving users with no recourse.
