TechFlow news, October 25 — According to Jinshi Data, a government official revealed that Trump has selected Michael Selig as chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Selig is currently the chief counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Crypto Task Force and previously served as an aide to SEC Chair Paul Atkins.
Selig's nomination would mark Trump's second attempt to fill the CFTC chair position—a relatively low-profile role that could gain greater influence under pending cryptocurrency market structure legislation. If nominated, Selig would require Senate confirmation.
