TechFlow news, on October 24, during a recent interview, when asked whether his decision to pardon Binance founder Changpeng Zhao was related to his family's cryptocurrency business, Trump said he was "not really sure," stating the pardon was based on "recommendations from many people."
When directly pressed about the connection between the pardon and his family's crypto ventures, Trump avoided a direct response, instead saying: "I have indeed pardoned many people," and emphasized that "many people say he didn't actually commit any crime." Trump also claimed he "doesn't know this person" and "doesn't believe he has ever met him," adding that Zhao "spent four months in jail" and was "persecuted by the Biden administration."
