TechFlow news, October 21: Ethereum core developer Péter Szilágyi released a letter he sent last year to EF leadership, sharply criticizing serious issues within the Ethereum ecosystem and its foundation. He pointed out that Ethereum has evolved into a system controlled by a small "ruling elite," contradicting its original decentralized ideals, and criticized the foundation's long-standing low-wage policy for creating conflicts of interest and risks of protocol control by large players.
He specifically mentioned that although Vitalik Buterin does not intend to, he effectively exerts indirect control over Ethereum's development direction, making the project's success dependent on relationships with Vitalik and his inner circle.
