TechFlow news, October 17 — According to The Block, prominent Ethereum developer Dankrad Feist announced he is leaving the Ethereum Foundation (EF) to join Tempo, a payment-focused Layer 1 project incubated by Stripe and Paradigm. Since joining EF in 2018, Feist has made significant contributions, most notably co-creating the Danksharding sharding design to enhance Layer 2 scalability. Earlier this year, he was also appointed as a strategic advisor across multiple areas at the Ethereum Foundation.
Feist stated that Tempo is "highly aligned" with Ethereum, built on the same permissionless principles, and its open-source technology can be easily integrated back into the Ethereum ecosystem. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin responded: "Dankrad is an outstanding researcher who has made immensely valuable contributions to the Ethereum we know today."
