TechFlow, October 15 — According to Decrypt, the UK Electoral Commission is planning to update its guidelines on cryptocurrency political donations, following reports that Reform UK received Britain's first such donation. Under UK election law, donations exceeding £11,180 (approximately $14,905) must be reported to electoral regulators. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has recently been actively courting support from the crypto industry, pledging to reduce capital gains tax on crypto assets from 24% to 10%, and declared himself a "champion" of the UK's digital asset sector at the London Digital Assets Summit.
