TechFlow, September 26 — According to on-chain analyst Ember (@EmberCN), a whale that transferred 200,000 ETH appears to be linked to Bitfinex. 100,000 ETH were sent to address 0xc6b...9c7 and subsequently deposited into the Aave protocol. One hour earlier, this address received 100,000 ETH from another address suspected to belong to Bitfinex. After depositing into Aave, it borrowed 1 million USDT and transferred the funds into the Plasma protocol.
Notably, Bitfinex is an investor in Plasma. Analysts state it remains unclear whether these ETH represent user assets or Bitfinex's own capital.
Earlier report: Two wallets dormant for eight years were reactivated and transferred 200,000 ETH worth $785 million.
