On the morning of April 21, Kai Xu, COO of MEET48, delivered a keynote speech at the main venue, systematically outlining the structural transformation currently underway in the entertainment industry amid the convergence of AI and Web3.
The speech highlighted that over the past year, MEET48 has evolved from real-world idols by leveraging AI technologies to build AI Agents capable of continuous learning—transforming idols from singular stage performers into “digital identities” that can interact with fans in real time across time and space. This evolution transcends physical limitations and establishes idols as sustainable virtual IPs. Building upon this foundation, MEET48 further introduced on-chain mechanisms to construct a Web3-based idol competition system, empowering fans to transition from passive supporters into on-chain participants who can directly influence idols’ development paths—advancing fan economies toward a “participation-as-governance” model.
