On November 14, BOB—a hybrid Layer 2 project powered by Bitcoin and Ethereum—successfully hosted the second edition of its Shark Tank event in Bangkok, Thailand. Nine innovative projects from the Bitcoin ecosystem participated in the pitch session, with Coffer Network emerging as the champion.
The event received support from over 80 leading industry investment firms and specialized funds, including ViaBTC Capital, IOSG Ventures, Antalpha Ventures, Ledger Cathay Capital, Quantstamp, RockawayX, Mechanism Capital, L1D, Cobo Ventures, NewTribe Capital, G1 Ventures, Artichoke Capital, Amigoo Ventures, and Arcanum Ventures. It also attracted more than 1,000 enthusiasts interested in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Nine Bitcoin-focused innovation projects participated in the event: Coffer Network, Stable Jack, Virtual Labs, Tapalytics, Zky Wallet, BQ Labs, Magnolia, Native, and GOEMON. These covered various niches within the Bitcoin ecosystem, including BTCFi perpetual contract DEXs, decentralized insurance, cross-chain bridges, and Bitcoin wallet infrastructure. The winning project, Coffer Network, is a decentralized programmable smart account infrastructure bridging Bitcoin Layer 1 and Layer 2, designed to help users easily manage and earn yield on their Bitcoin L1 and L2 assets.
BOB represents a new type of Layer 2 solution—Hybrid L2—that connects Bitcoin’s potential for mass adoption with the functionality of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and its ecosystem. This hybrid approach leverages Bitcoin's security while enabling access to DApps, DeFi, and stablecoin solutions via rollups. Last month, BOB officially released its Hybrid L2 whitepaper. Through initiatives like Shark Tank, BOB aims to empower early-stage, innovative projects to deepen their development within the Bitcoin ecosystem and remains committed to the long-term growth of Bitcoin's ecosystem.
In addition, BOB recently announced a collaboration with the OKX Web3 Wallet to launch a Bitcoin DeFi campaign. Users who complete bridge, staking, and lending tasks within the BOB Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem via the OKX Web3 Wallet can share in a prize pool worth up to $300,000.
