Spot BTC ETFs Attract Massive Inflows: Rothschild and US Bancorp Invest $20 Million Combined

US Bancorp disclosed on May 8 its investment in spot BTC ETFs totaling over $15 million.
The company revealed it purchased approximately 87,744 shares of Fidelity's FBTC, worth $5.4 million; 46,011 shares of Grayscale's GBTC, worth $2.9 million; and 178,567 shares of BlackRock's IBIT, valued at $7.2 million.
According to the latest 13F filing, US Bancorp’s total investments amount to $7.18 billion.
US Bancorp is one of the largest bank holding companies in the United States, with over $663 billion in assets under management as of the end of 2023.
On May 9, Edmond de Rothschild Holding SA separately disclosed its investment in spot BTC ETFs exceeding $4.2 million.
The firm acquired 103,600 shares of BlackRock's IBIT, worth approximately $4.2 million, along with 1,300 shares of GBTC valued at $82,121.
According to its latest 13F filing, the company’s total investment portfolio amounts to $6 billion.
In recent weeks, several other firms have disclosed their investments in spot BTC ETFs.
Hightower Advisors, SouthState Bank, Susquehanna International Group, BNP Paribas, Burkett Financial Services, and Legacy Wealth Asset Management have all purchased ETFs.
Meanwhile, MassMutual reported it will continue investing in Grayscale’s BTC Trust (GBTC), purchasing 227 shares on May 9 for a value of $14,340.
The most recent disclosures cover purchases made during the first quarter of 2024. The deadline for filing quarterly 13F reports is May 15, and other firms may disclose additional investments in the coming days.

As of May 9, the total assets under management across spot BTC ETFs reached $52.7 billion, with nearly $11.8 billion in net inflows recorded as of May 8.
