As a global leader in Web3.0 security, CertiK has recently demonstrated remarkable cross-industry strength in the traditional tech sector. Following repeated public acknowledgments from companies including Apple, Weibo, and Meituan, CertiK's Skyfall team and security expert Dawuge have both been named to Samsung's Mobile Security Hall of Fame 2023, announced today. Compared to innovation-focused projects, excelling in the Web3.0 security field demands persistent determination and endurance. This recognition affirms the ongoing efforts by CertiK and the broader Web3.0 security community in safeguarding cyberspace.

Samsung Blockchain Keystore is a critical platform for private key management on Samsung devices. The CertiK team identified seven vulnerabilities within this system, four of which were classified by Samsung as critical severity and three as high severity. If exploited, these vulnerabilities could lead to arbitrary code execution (ACE) and unauthorized leakage of sensitive data. Samsung took CertiK’s findings seriously, quickly deploying security patches and implementing essential boundary checks and protective mechanisms to mitigate potential risks. Meanwhile, Dawuge, a CertiK security researcher who recently received third prize in Honor's Security Reward Program, was ranked seventh on this year’s Hall of Fame list—highlighting CertiK’s exceptional collective and individual expertise.
As a cornerstone of South Korea’s technology industry, Samsung—with its 85-year history—has played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s technological advancement and economic growth. Its focus on mobile blockchain technology and Web3.0 security marks a significant step in traditional tech embracing Web3.0 innovations. By investing in Web3.0, Samsung not only strengthens its position as a tech giant but also accelerates the large-scale adoption of Web3.0 technologies across South Korea. Beyond Samsung, we are already seeing traditional tech firms like WeMade entering the Web3.0 gaming space. As demand for Web3.0 technology grows in South Korea, security will become an increasingly critical concern. Samsung’s recognition of CertiK underscores the firm’s growing influence in South Korea’s cybersecurity landscape. With both professional credibility and market impact, CertiK is well-positioned to drive further cybersecurity innovation in the region and help more Web3.0 companies break into mainstream technology sectors.
In fact, the recent accolades for CertiK extend even further. The CertiK security team has long specialized in cybersecurity, earning repeated industry recognition for uncovering vulnerabilities ranging from iOS and iPadOS kernel flaws to the HamsterWheel vulnerability in the Sui network. As a leading expert in Web3.0 security, CertiK’s collaboration with traditional tech giants such as Samsung and Apple holds profound significance for advancing cybersecurity. These partnerships not only resolve current security threats from a technical standpoint but also represent a crucial step toward Web3.0 breaking into the mainstream—working alongside established leaders to co-create new security standards for the future of Web3.0.
