To advance blockchain innovation, global Web3 influencers, founders, creators, investors, and even regulators should join forces. Today, the FOMO Asia team announced its flagship event, the FOMO Asia Genesis Conference, will take place from March 20 to 23 in Hong Kong’s central business district, with the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre serving as the main venue.
Over the past year, FOMO Asia has gained wide recognition across major Asian cities including Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Taipei, attracting over 3,000 participants and generating more than 5 million social media interactions.
Rubio Chan, Chairman of the FOMO Asia Organizing Committee, said: “The Hong Kong government's recent policy statement on virtual asset development clearly shows that Hong Kong is ready to embrace a new era of internet and digital asset ownership. Combined with Hong Kong reopening after the pandemic, the momentum is encouraging. We believe now is the perfect time to host a large-scale, in-person Web3 conference in Hong Kong.” FOMO Asia has also received official support from InvestHK and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Hosted by FOMO Asia and co-organized by CrossSpace and HKGDAO, this four-day event will take place at multiple venues across Hong Kong’s core districts, featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, project showcases, and networking opportunities. Curated programs such as the Web3 Bootcamp aim to equip the public with foundational blockchain knowledge. The conference also expects numerous Web3 projects to organize side events in parallel.
Unlike other conferences, FOMO Asia believes conversations around Web3 should not be confined to the event period. Starting last week, the FOMO Asia team has launched a series of online activities to connect the Web3 community early. The team has interviewed several globally influential Web3 leaders, including Yat Siu, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, and Ray Chan, CEO of Memeland, inviting them to share why they continue pushing forward in Web3 despite the fear of missing out. The team aims to unite these voices and eventually present to the public the collective strength of Web3, building broader trust in blockchain technology.
