한편, Monad는 EVM에 병렬 실행과 초스칼라 파이프라이닝을 도입한 고성능 레이어 1 블록체인으로, Solana 및 Sui와 같은 경쟁 플랫폼과 견줄 수 있는 차세대 1층 블록체인 구축을 목표로 하고 있다.
회사 창립자인 Keone Hon은 Monad의 혁신이 기존 이더리움 블록체인을 재구성하여 스마트 계약을 더 빠른 속도, 더 높은 처리량, 더 낮은 비용으로 실행할 수 있도록 하면서도 이더리움 프로그램과의 호환성을 유지하는 데 있다고 설명했다.
