TechFlow, on September 25, according to Zhitong Caijing, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand has invited digital asset operators to register for a pilot program that aims to allow foreign tourists to exchange digital assets into Thai baht to cover their travel and consumption expenses.
According to a statement released by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand on Thursday, interested operators may submit applications between September 25 and December 26. Potential participants in the sandbox program must be operators of digital asset exchanges, digital asset brokers, or digital asset dealers. They must establish connections with electronic money service operators to enable the use of Thai baht—converted from foreign tourists' digital asset holdings—for purchasing goods and services.
