TechFlow news, June 24 — According to official announcements, the BTFS Protocol v4.0 test version has officially launched. This upgrade is based on three major proposals: BTIP-89, BTIP-90, and BTIP-91, focusing on key innovations including the transformation of storage service providers into dedicated nodes, unified custody of file metadata via smart contracts, and implementing decentralized governance through on-chain decision-making. This upgrade will enhance the network's reliability, transparency, and decentralization. This version is designated for testing; developers can participate in technical validation according to their needs. The mainnet release is forthcoming.
