TechFlow news, on June 5, according to Jinshi Data, California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced on the 2nd that he has filed an appeal against the latest ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in the case where California sued the Trump administration over its allegedly illegal tariff policy. Earlier, on April 16, California had filed a lawsuit at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, naming the state government and Governor Gavin Newsom as plaintiffs, accusing the federal government of unlawfully implementing so-called "reciprocal tariffs" under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, claiming such actions harm broad interests of states, consumers, and businesses. California is also the first state to sue the Trump administration over tariff issues. On the 2nd, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed California's lawsuit. Bonta immediately released a statement saying the state government plans to file an appeal right away with the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. The move aims to have the appellate court determine whether the Northern District Court had jurisdiction over this case.
