TechFlow news, April 18 — According to Cointelegraph, Kenny Li, co-founder of Manta Network, disclosed a highly sophisticated phishing attack. The attackers used recorded footage of actual team members during a Zoom video call in an attempt to trick him into downloading malicious software.
Li stated that the caller’s camera was turned on with genuine facial visuals visible, but no audio could be heard. The system then prompted him to update Zoom and download a script file, which raised his suspicion. He believes the attack may have been carried out by the North Korea-linked hacking group Lazarus. After being asked to verify identity via Telegram, the attacker deleted all messages and blocked him immediately.
