TechFlow news, April 18 — According to an official announcement from EigenLayer, its slashing mechanism has officially launched on the mainnet. The Protocol Council has completed execution of the slashing upgrade.
Following the upgrade, operators and stakers using the EigenPod CLI will need to perform a checkpoint upgrade, while application-specific validation services (AVS) can now directly enforce slashing conditions on the mainnet.
