TechFlow news, April 8 — Starpower, an energy DePIN project backed by Solana Ventures, Alliance DAO, and Framework Ventures, recently announced major progress in a deep-dive report by Messari, including surpassing one million connected devices network-wide and the acceptance of its team's research paper by Nature.
The report noted that Dr. Jia, co-founder of Starpower, along with the research team, had their paper on nanostructured new energy accepted by the world-leading journal Nature Nanotechnology in March 2025, marking a substantial step forward for its technological development within the decentralized science (DeSci) domain.
The report highlighted that Starpower’s proposed three-stage “Proof” incentive mechanism is the core innovation of its system design. In the first stage, “Proof of Connection,” users earn rewards simply by connecting their devices to the network and maintaining uptime, aiming to rapidly expand network scale. In the second stage, “Proof of Capacity,” devices are required to provide data on energy storage or generation capacity, forming a real energy contribution curve. Finally, in the “Proof of Response” stage, devices must respond to real-time dispatch signals to receive STAR rewards. This mechanism, progressing from shallow participation to deep coordination, positions Starpower as one of the most sustainably incentivized representatives among current Web3 energy projects.
