TechFlow News — On February 15, according to The Block, NFT brand Yuga Labs announced on February 14 the sale of the Meebits NFT collection and its associated intellectual property to Meebit Company (MeebCo), a newly established entity. MeebCo plans to expand Meebits-related content, enhance community engagement, and launch new merchandise. Meebits has introduced a trading rewards program called Bits, through which royalties generated on OpenSea will be distributed between the MeebCo team and project development.
Yuga Labs stated it will focus on developing the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT brand and the Otherside metaverse project, though Meebits will continue to hold a significant role within Otherside.
