TechFlow news, February 7 — According to TechCrunch, the Reserve Bank of India announced it will launch a dedicated domain name .bank.in starting April 2025, as part of its efforts to combat digital payment fraud and strengthen trust in online banking services. The Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) will serve as the exclusive registrar for this new domain. Additionally, the central bank plans to introduce a separate fin.in domain for non-bank financial institutions. The initiative aims to help users distinguish legitimate banking websites from fraudulent ones.
