TechFlow reports that on January 22, Mark Uyeda, Acting Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), announced the formation of the Crypto 2.0 Task Force and appointed Commissioner Hester Peirce, known as the "Crypto Mom," as its leader, aiming to establish a comprehensive and clear regulatory framework for digital assets.
The core team includes Chief of Staff Richard Gabbert and Chief Policy Advisor Taylor Asher. The task force will focus on defining clear regulatory boundaries, providing feasible registration pathways, designing a reasonable disclosure framework, and prudently allocating enforcement resources. It will coordinate with federal agencies such as the CFTC, state-level and international regulators, and provide technical support to Congress.
