TechFlow news, January 8 — Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin posted, "We really do need to improve prioritization in Ethereum core development. If I had to choose between 1) increasing the blob target from 3 to 6, and 2) everything else in Pectra, I would pick the former."
Vitalik also shared priority suggestions regarding projects like Fusaka and G*, emphasizing that blob scaling remains critical. At the same time, he highlighted the importance of L1 EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) improvements—particularly transitioning from EOF to full account abstraction via EIP-7701, introducing the SIMD+EVMMAX instruction sets, and moderately raising the gas limit.
Vitalik added that the team is currently developing the peerdas feature and recommended exploring more ambitious versions of peerdas. These technical enhancements aim to boost Ethereum network performance and scalability.
